Meet Chad
Kia ora, I'm Chad and I have been a part of the Youthtown family for over 5 years.
I've always loved gaming and one of those games has been Minecraft. I have been playing Minecraft during my spare time for over 10 years and enjoy it even more now that I can play with my girls at home. I'm really excited that we now have our very own Youthtown server and we are able to share the fun and challenges that Minecraft has to offer. I can't wait for us to build our Youthtown world together!
Future scientists, engineers, tech gurus and creatives watch out, this is perfect for you!
Imagination Lab - STEAM Kits, give your tamariki the opportunity to explore and develop their creativity and engineering skills and imagine a world of possibilities. These amazing kits are designed to get them excited about science, technology, engineering, art and maths - or STEAM for short.
Every child loves to get a surprise through the mail. Your child will receive their own kit with the elements they need to create cool projects. From robots, to masks and cars, they will learn about circuits, gears, solar power and combine science and maths with art, in a fun, creative way.
Then join our live weekly online class with Ella - our STEAM Leader and she will show you how to take the elements from the box and create something amazing.
Sign up for our term one STEAM Kit for just $143 (standard delivery) - inlcudes three STEAM boxes plus 9 x hour online sessions.
How Does it Work?
Each term, your child will receive by courier, 3 separate kits (sent roughly one per month, but timings may vary slightly) Then every week of term you will be a sent a link to join our closed online group, each Wednesday of term ( starting 15th Feb) at 4.30-5.30pm, Ella will teach the group how to build the kit and what they can do with it.
Your child will be able to ask questions and get guidance with their build and take it to the next stage. The kits will generally take 4 weeks of classes to create and explore.
The kits come with the elements required, but you will also need a few other things from around the house, such as pens or tape. When your kit arrives, it will tell you what else will be required so you have time to prepare before the online class.
Term one online sessions run: 15th Feb, 22 Feb, 1st March, 8 March, 15 March, 29 March, 5 April, and then the first two weeks of Term 2 on 26 April and 3 May
Meet Ella
Ella will be our Imagination Lab host! Every week you will see her online to help build and use your STEAM kit.
