What's On | Youth Development Opportunities

YOUTH EMPLOYABILITY

Youthtown is excited to be involved in the Youth Employability Programme. The purpose of the programme is to make it possible for all 14-24-year-olds to gain the insight, confidence and skills to get work, keep work and create careers.

We love supporting young people and help them gain employability skills. Our mission is to see all young people in New Zealand employable.


HER RIDE

​​​​​​​This programme was developed to inspire and empower women in sport. Her Ride is aimed at girls and women of any age from 9+· 

It is about learning bicycle riding skills in a supportive and female only environment. To build skills and confidence, plus it is the perfect way to have fun with all the wahine in your whanau. 


GROW
The GROW programme is focused on inspiring and changing lives of rangatahi who face hardships. The aim of the programme is to build resilience, self-awareness, develop life skills and widening young people's worldview to unlock their potential.

FOOTBALL CONNECT


Football connect is a joint partnership between New Zealand Football Foundation and Youthtown. The goal of this programme is to provide opportunities to disadvantaged boys and girls across Aotearoa, to develop confidence, competence and life skills through football. Local club coaches and inspriational youth workers help deliver this programme.
