Short Film Challenge

Are you New Zealand’s next Peter Jackson or up-and-coming Anna Paquin? If so, the Short Film Challenge could be your stepping stone to stardom!

Launched in March each year, the Short Film Challenge gives budding film makers, actors and actresses their chance to shine on the silver screen. From scriptwriting and producing to acting, directing and editing, it’s a great chance to dabble in the film industry!

To help ensure your film or performance is Oscar-worthy, optional film workshops are run at Youthtown Auckland Central and Taupo leading up to judging day. The winning films (judged and decided upon by a panel of film industry pros) are then screened at the Academy Cinema in Auckland.
