Youthtown Youth Programmes

Youthtown provides leadership opportunities for secondary school students who want to make a difference to the lives of other young people and have a positive impact in their community.

Groups that meet regularly :

  • Youth Squads
  • Councils
  • Ambassadors

Projects to join in on  :

  • Event Management
  • Workshops to upskill for future education and employment
  • Volunteering opportunities
  • Duke of Edinburgh Hilary Award
  • Camps

Many have come up the ranks within Youthtown’s programmes embracing the values, making excellent role models to inspire younger participants and welcome new members to Youthtown.

This close-knit group of 13-18 year olds are assisted by experienced Youth Coordinators to develop life skills for the real world that will unleash their inner leader.

Our Youth Coordinators are accredited to award the Duke of Edinburgh Hillary Award and other formal recognitions to those that take part in this structured set of activities.

Being part of a Youth Squad is not all work! Amongst running events and sharpening social skills there is still plenty of time for fun.

Youth Squads are unique to the community in which they are formed so that they can reflect the personality of the region that they represent. So when all squads get together at Camp, for extended leadership training, it’s a big occasion!

Our Endorsements

Youthtown is accredited to run the Duke of Edinburgh Hillary Award programme.

The students and teachers really enjoyed the Activity Days last week with Youthtown.

All the teachers commented on seeing students in a different light, some students stood out as leaders and participators in ways they hadn't seen before. They also commented on the positive and respectful way all the Youthtown people worked with the students. All good news!!

Thank you!

Sue
