Why Youthtown Outdoors Department?

Youthtown’s Outdoors Department has been running adventure programmes for over 20 years. With highly qualified and well experienced staff, your children will become part of a fantastic club experience (and will have some serious talents to show off after)!

Why Adventure Clubs?

Youthtown Adventure Clubs provide a superb environment for physical and environmental education. Our clubs contribute to personal growth and social awareness and develop skills for life and the world of work. Qualities such as a sense of responsibility and a purpose in life are nurtured. Our members gain a great deal of intrinsic enjoyment and satisfaction from participating in outdoor activities.

Adventure activities provide valuable alternative, non-competitive avenues for achievement, as well as opportunities to develop independence and self-reliance. By successfully facing up to the challenges outdoor activities provide, overcoming fears and apprehensions along the way, young people make major strides in confidence, with implications for all aspects of their development.

Members have so much fun, it’s easy to develop personally, physically and socially.

Note from the Coordinator:

The Youthtown Outdoors Department is dedicated to providing top quality programmes to meet the needs of the community. We have a wealth of experience behind us and are oozing with passion and energy. So if there is an outdoor pursuit interest that we are not delivering, please tell us. We’d love to have a chat with you to evaluate the possibilities out there. Together we can ensure that we are helping young people stay active and happy. So calling all clubs, schools, social groups to work towards the common goal!

Yours in adventure,

Fiona Ryder
