Hi I’m Mike Mullins Oamaru Branch Manager 

Youthtown Oamaru has been delivering cool, fun, innovative after school and holiday programmes to inspire the youth of Oamaru (NZ) for the last two years. I’m passionate about providing all youth with opportunities where they can be involved in creative, social, physical fun experiences and adventure. Each term we currently run after school and holiday programmmes for Yr 7 & 8 (Intermediate) and also separate programmes for Yrs 9 to 13 (Secondary). It’s great to see the enjoyment of those that have stepped out of their comfort zones, and how our programmes can make a difference and impact on the lives of people in our community.

I grew up in Dargaville and also spent 10 years living and working around Auckland before moving overseas to play professional rugby. I played for an Irish province Munster for 7 years and also was lucky enough to represent Ireland over a four year period 1999 - 2003. I have lived in Oamaru for nearly 6 years and feel lucky to be living in a district that has so many hidden treasures, Lakes, ocean, mountains which provide so many recreational opportunities. The best thing about my job is the amount of positive feedback received from students, parents, and teachers about the influence our programmes are making is extremely rewarding.
