Youthtown Celebrates Children's Literacy at Storylines Festival
Youthtown got behind the Auckland Storylines Festival last weekend to celebrate children’s literature and book illustration. It’s the fifth year the organisation has supported the annual family event which is run by the Children’s Literature Charitable Trust of New Zealand. Attendees got to meet a range of New Zealand authors, hear live story tellers and engage in a range of exciting literary and craft activities. Youthtown ran a workshop at the event which encouraged kids to create posters around the themes of books and reading using stencils. [Photos: Julian Lewis] |
