Break from the Quake Week 2 Postponed
Mother nature has created more disruption for Christchurch this week with the postponement of Youthtown’s second week of Break From The Quake camps. Youthtown CEO Keith Thorpe has made the tough call to postpone this week’s camps after today’s Air New Zealand flight cancellations and inclement weather conditions. “The last thing we know Christchurch families will want is more uncertainty and stress. We would rather postpone our week-long camps to the October holidays than have to reduce the experience to a couple of days owing to bad weather. The safety of families trying to get to the airport in bad weather with uncertain flight schedules is also a key concern,” says Thorpe. Youthtown remains committed to providing an amazing week-long camp experience for our second group of campers during the week of 17-21 October. Our aim is to create minimal disruption for those families anticipating a Break From The Quake this week. Any Christchurch families who were relying on Youthtown to care for their children this week should contact our Christchurch Manager on 027 242 4099 for details of the daily programme. If you have any questions regarding the rescheduling of the Quake Break please phone Tui Tait on (09) 379 5430 or visit https://www.facebook.com/pages/Youthtown-Christchurch/184517281597551?ref=ts for more information. |
