Name the Art Competition - Winner Announced
Thomas Brown-Tapuikore was announced the winner of the Pasifika art naming competition on Friday for his name Putiputi Kanapanapa which means glistening flowers in English. The competition ran from 7 February to 1 March to name a piece of art that was created by the Youthtown art programme at the Grey Lynn Festival last year for display at the Grey Lynn Library. It was open to all school-aged children, between five and 18 years of age. Thomas won a term of art classes run through the Youthtown art programme, a $25 voucher from Studio Art Supplies, along with a $25 book voucher donated by the Grey Lynn Library. Congratulations Thomas and all those who entered. |
