Family Fun at BLOOM FestivalJanuary 24th, 2012
Youthtown's Big Top Art Tent was a huge highlight at the BLOOM Family Festival in Matakana last weekend. Those who visited the tent got to take party in a range of creative activities including: lantern making, air brush tattooing, painting onto perspex, face painting, mask and kite making. Family and friends also got to play dress ups using an array of costumes and hats and have their photos taken in the photo booth. Youthtown Christmas and New Year HoursDecember 21st, 2011

Youthtown has partnered with Basketball Auckland in an effort to encourage inner city basketball enthusiasts to get active with the help from Tall Black Guard Lindsay Tait who began his career at Youthtown. The Youthtown City Basketball Club will join Basketball Auckland’s four other Auckland-based satellite clubs. The basketball programme will be run from Youthtown’s central branch on Nelson Street from February 2012 for anyone in years 7 to 13 who doesn’t have access to a local team or club. Eighty students from St Paul’s College visited our Nelson Street branch this week and took part in basketball, team building challenges and a range of activities on offer. Some of our lucky basketball players got to shoot hoops with the SKYCITY Breakers under the Sky Tower this week in preparation for their first home game at Vector Arena on the 28th of April against the Sydney Kings.
