Hawke’s Bay Sports Award Winner: Amy Jane ‘AJ’ MacDonald
Youthtown was proud to be part of the 2017 Hawke’s Bay Sports Awards, presenting the Youthtown Disabled Sportsperson of the Year award to Amy Jane ‘AJ’ MacDonald at the award ceremony on Saturday 21st May.
The award is presented to an athlete who has excelled as an individual or in a team in one or more sports as a disabled sportsperson, and is a new award for the annual Hawke’s Bay Sports Awards.
The award was presented to ‘AJ’ by Dylan Perfect-Tait from Youthtown, who said, “As an organisation that uses sport and physical activity to engage and develop young New Zealanders, Youthtown is proud to be associated with the ‘Disabled Sportsperson of the Year’ award in what is the first year the category is being recognised at the Hawke’s Bay Sports Awards. We congratulate all nominees and finalists here this evening”.
